Bus Roll love!!

I have spent the past 2 years dreaming of owning my own Bus Roll on canvas, you know way back before they became trendy...
Well here I am still renting, SO still waiting, which has given me plenty of time for thinking & dreaming.
As they say, the best art, is the art that has meaning to you. This led me to the idea that my bus roll should be a story of our family, our own personalised journey of the houses with have lived in on our destination to our dream house.
My dream guy & I have moved houses a fair few times since we met, he feels I have an inner gypsy, so now I just need to save a few bucks & get my sign printed on canvas.
I have a few pics here that I used for inspiration, as I mentioned I have been saving these for about 2 years now so I don't know the sources...sorry!!!

As you can see they are a very versatile style of art work, looking good in all interior styles, contemporary, rustic, traditional, beachy...
 A must have item!!!

I have been following a lovely blog called My sweet prints & it must be fate because it turns out that Janette is a graphic designer & illustrator with an online store that prints personalised canvas bus scrolls, so I know exactly where to go when I'm ready to place my order. She is also situated in Sydney, Australia so I know its not a problem to have it shipped, YAY!!!!
Go check out her gallery here

Do you have one of these fabulous works of art ?

A Clock Review

A few weeks ago I received  an email  from Buyster an on line store that sells an amazing amount of home furnishings, lighting ,rugs & decorator items, asking if I would like to do a product review.
As you can imagine, being a new comer to blog land I was pretty excited to be given this opportunity, I was also excited by the thought of receiving a FREE product for my efforts!!!

Any way as you know I love clocks so here is what I chose to review...

Nextime Aaltje wall clock

It comes in various sizes, but I chose one that was 25cm in diameter

& here is how it looks with a few of my own things. The outside rim is matt black with an antique finish & the face is a yellow based cream so it goes perfectly with my decor.

Because we are only renting I haven't hung it on the wall but I will in my dream house.
I have to say the service from Buyster was great, delivery was prompt & my lovely clock was packaged really well.
Mmmm I think I will order a fabulous replica ghost chair next!!!
Does anybody already own one of these, how fantastic does it look at your house?

Does it look as gorgeous as this one, mirror furniture is definitely on my wish list as well!!!

Cheers

Must have Chinese style & a few great clocks

I have fallen in love with Asian inspired furnishings of late, especially  these Chinese garden stools.I would love two of these silver babies in the formal lounge room of my dream house. I have seen them here in Oz at Domayne, but I'm sure you would be able to find them in many stores.

I also discovered a fabulous range of Chinese style buffets, entertainment units & coffee tables at Buyster.com.au I think a few Asian inspired accent pieces would be a good option for me to bring life to my current furniture. I haven't purchased any major pieces for my home for a few years now & my current look is a little like a furniture catalogue, EVERYTHING matches...... I  know, I know.....I can hear your toes curling  just at the thought of it. In my defence I didn't know that buying the complete set for each room would lead to such a boring look, But I have learn't the error of my ways & will be breaking up the gang as soon as possible.

I especially love this last entertainment unit, the doors give it a real aged look

I love this Buffet, it looks great with these chairs.

Whilst I was perusing Buyster's many online stores I was able to indulge my other  love, CLOCKS.

I am in the process of collecting some clocks to make a wall display & this one would be perfect.

This one comes in a few sizes. I would like to see a large one in my sons bedroom.

Ive only ever seen this style as a mirror

 A must have!!!

These mantle clocks add a nice touch to a cosy fireplace

I love these images of giant clocks. I actually have a clock like the one in this last picture & its always a talking point when people see it....
