Our first Christmas in our new house

Merry Christmas everyone.
A little late I know but what sort of blogger would I be if I didn't write a post to document our first Christmas in our new home.

I was fortunate enough to be able to invest in a beautiful tree this year from

I have to say I was wrapped with my tree, especially when it didn't drop its faux pine needles everywhere on set up or pack up.

We have great 10ft high ceilings here & I would have loved to have gone for a much larger tree but space didn't allow for the extra width, nor did my budget allow for the extra cost.
But this one was fabulous all the same & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the investment.

I chose the classic theme of gold, silver & white this year for my decorations

I love gift wrapping & tend to go a little overboard in that department. This year decided to be a little more frugal & not over decorate the gifts...you know how it is!
So I just chose pretty colour co-ordinated paper & some ribbons.
I personally am very happy with the self control I showed in this area, he he he!!!

This is my favourite spot to sit & enjoy my morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

I created a few little vignettes throughout the house, in amongst our normal decor.
I received the beautiful Audrey Hepburn print as a gift from my lovely blog friend & artist Mirela from
It makes me smile & feel very privileged & special. I really have met some wonderful people through blogging.

I got this cute little angel from Pillow talk but it looked far to small on the tree so here she is jazzing up my tray.

This vase is filled with a white feather boa & a set of battery operated LED lights.

Of course it would'nt be Christmas without a reindeer or two!!

There are some more of the little LED lights in amongst the baubles under this glass cloche.
I got the lights from Big W for $2.50 a set....bargain!!!

Needless to say we had a lovely Christmas, a quiet day at home with family & friends.
I am certainly looking forward to ringing in the new year & seeing just where 2015 is going to take us.

I hope you also had a great Christmas surrounded by the people you love.
